am saddened by the deaths of farah fawcett and michael jackson. they were such talents. i remember my sister was a big fan of MJ, and even made a small clay bust--just the head--of him. to be honest, it looked freaky. maybe because she was really good at it, and it looked so real. so spooked was my mum, though, that she threw it out. something like that. because we never saw it again.
i always thought MJ looked better in his original skin colour. and that he should be respected for his talent and contributions to the pop scene. what has the media done to him?
i watched the tribute for fawcett, and realised how strong a woman she was. and how she is survived by the man who loved her deeply, and the son whom she loved. and i think, even if those were all she had in her last days, she'd have left, content and at peace.
on a different note, i went back office today. to, you know, say hi. and learnt that we shouldn't create anymore versions of Blobby (in accordance to the festival themes). i believe it was because these might steal the thunder from the actual mascot, to be revealed later this year. (why can't they make friends???)
and then i'm afraid that, now that i'm not around, Blobby my baby will slowly fade into oblivion and even be canned, pun intended. i'm just hoping that people will still fight for Blobby's survival, all the way till the Festivals end in March 2010.
i wonder if you'll call this a mother's call to all to protect her precious child from extinction.

i think it is.
